Day 25: Love In Our Thoughts

Roald Dahl is one of my favourite authors. What he says here about thought patterns is particularly pertinent to the way I approach situations.

Today I was working on a lot of different projects. Along the way, I found myself contriving stories about possible interactions with my colleagues. I was basically assuming what certain people were going to say to me, before it had happened. Mentally preparing myself for a predicted outcome, an outcome that freaked me out.

I caught myself each time, but it's interesting how my mind will go to a negative possibility and spend unnecessary time playing it out. It's a waste.

Believe me, I worry a lot less than I used to. But with new adventures comes new challenges. I think it all comes down to trust. Trusting that we will follow our instincts and be okay with the outcome. 

So today, let's put a little love in our thoughts.
